Kajeet Prepaid for Kids

If you have young kids and you’re deciding whether or not to get them a cell phone, Kajeet sounds like it’s the cell phone service for you. Kajeet is a prepaid service that was created especially for kids and for the parents who are concerned about giving their child a cell phone.

Kajeet is a no contract, no cancellation fee no credit checks, cell phone service. On top of that, the founders of the Kajeet cell phone service are parents who faced the same dilemma. They had the same fears and concerns as all parents have when giving a child a cell phone. The usual concerns of who are they calling, who are they texting, where are they, etc., etc.

With those concerns in mind, Kajeet created online tools parents can use to not only track your child’s usage, and block certain phone numbers (to or from) but you can use the GPS feature to check your child’s whereabouts. Before we discuss the parental features at Kajeet, check to see if they offer service in your area.

Kajeet runs on the Sprint network. Therefore, if Sprint is available in your area there’s a good chance you’ll be able to use the Kajeeet service. If you’re not sure, check out their coverage look up.

If your child already has a cell phone and you would like to maintain the same phone number, there is the possibility that you can keep it. All you have to do is call the Kajeet customer service number (1-866-452-5338) and they’ll help you.Samsung Seek

Kajeet Cell Phone Selection

There are a host of cell phones you can choose from. Kajeet phones range in price from $29.99 for the LG 225 certified refurbished phone (which is great for those kids who forget to take the cell phone out of the pocket prior to throwing the clothes in the hamper for washing) to $249.99 for the pink or black Samsung Seek. The Samsung Seek comes with a color touch screen and 1.3 megapixel digital zoom camera among other features.

Because texting and kids go hand in hand, most likely your child will want a phone with the full QWERTY keyboard. Kajeet offers several varieties of full QWERTY keyboard phones starting at $119.

Kajeet also offers phones that are HAC and TTY compatible (hearing aid and teletype). Follow this link for a listing of their HAC and TTY compatible phones.
